PVR (Lic. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport) has a single main terminal. After landing, pass through immigration and customs — the full process typically takes 15–35 minutes depending on queue length. Walk straight out past the exit corridor representatives; your Vallarta Shuttle driver waits immediately outside. Avoid engaging with timeshare reps in the terminal corridor.

PVR airport terminal overview

Puerto Vallarta International Airport (IATA: PVR) has one main passenger terminal serving both domestic and international arrivals. International arrivals are processed on the ground floor. After your flight parks (either at a gate or on the tarmac via buses), you walk to immigration and customs — all in the same building. The exit leads directly to the outdoor arrivals curb.

Navigating the exit corridor

After clearing customs, you enter a narrow exit corridor lined on both sides with commercial booths — timeshare presentations, hotel packages, "transportation assistance." Walk straight through without stopping. These are commissioned sales representatives, not airport staff. The legitimate taxi sindicato kiosk is marked with official signage before the exit doors. If you have a prearranged Vallarta Shuttle transfer, keep walking to the exit — your driver is outside.

Where your Vallarta Shuttle driver meets you

Your driver waits immediately outside the terminal exit doors, not inside. Look for a host in khaki pants and a black guayabera, holding a sign with your name and the Vallarta Shuttle logo.
